Spirtas Worldwide was created by Eric J Spirtas, former President and CEO of one of the Largest Demolition firms in the United States.
Mr. Spirtas established Spirtas Worldwide in 2004. The firm originally offered its signature world class demolition and environmental remediation services nationally to select clients and as opportunities arose, Spirtas Worldwide began to assemble a private portfolio of industrial & commercial properties in which it self performed necessary development with its own forces.
This growth triggered the establishment of enhanced captive operations such as property management, facility operations, and new construction performance to support advanced property development for its private properties and for the benefit of its worldwide clients.
Cultivation of international relationships, investment partnerships and complex worldwide dealings, led to Spirtas Worldwide’s further growth, its development of sophisticated partnerships with international investors, and inspired the trading of large volume minerals, metals and other goods.
Today, Spirtas Worldwide continues to offer a full array of state of the art demolition, environmental remediation and contracting services along with “full” scale property development capability.

Complete Remediation Capability.
Spirtas Worldwide environmental engineers offer varied backgrounds including waste management and permitting, chemical manufacturing, civil engineering, laboratory analysis, site remediation, and regulatory compliance. The company provides asbestos abatement, environmental remediation, and other self-performed services including facility decontamination, drum management, underground storage tank removal, waste minimization analysis, and emergency response.
Spirtas Worldwide has performed numerous remediation projects for a wide spectrum of customers under state and federal voluntary cleanup programs.
In addition, Spirtas Worldwide has performed several projects for potentially responsible parties (PRP’s) under EPA’s Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), commonly known as Superfund.
Asset Recovery.
Spirtas Worldwide employees use specialized equipment to reduce disposal costs and increase salvage sale revenue through the recycling of construction debris. Spirtas processes over thousands of tons of ferrous & non-ferrous scrap every year at its various facilities, captive plants and for customers during contracted demolition.
Spirtas operates a number of portable Niton XRF metal imaging tools to enable onsite scrap chemistry analysis. Through involved processing and materials separation, Spirtas Worldwide is able to share best scrap rates with its clients as a demolition scrap processing credit. The company ships scrap via trucks, barges, and railcars directly to the country’s major iron and steel producers.
Spirtas Worldwide self performs asset liquidation and teams with an established network of specialized used equipment dealers as well as an extensive industrial customer base that can reuse equipment at operating facilities. Spirtas Worldwide provides rigging and transportation services for the removal and delivery of salvaged equipment.
Complete Risk Transfer™.
How do we help our Complete Risk Transfer™ Clients?
We develop a binding contract, communicate with regulators, with respect to historic obligations.
We typically form a special purpose entity to assume the complete liability for, and perform, all remedial work as required by law for assumed obligations, “Complete Risk Transfer™”
Spirtas Worldwide executes applicable permits and orders required by regulators to complete remediation for existing conditions located on-site. Certain properties retain value in spite of a Complete Risk Transfer™, in which case Spirtas Worldwide will pay for the facility, in other cases, owners, may opt to pay Spirtas Worldwide for the service of a Complete Risk Transfer™ which would require extensive remedial planning and action. This process is a specialized process that can be discussed and custom designed to support a property sale, merger, unique portfolio disposition, balance sheet management and the like.

Spirtas Worldwide has proven itself as a specialized “Industrial Development Group”, that acquires old industrial properties that have aged out or are no longer able to manage the remedial obligations that have mounted over years of operation.

Spirtas Worldwide provides a number of special services that are inter-related to the properties it acquires. The services range from Landfill ownership & operation, Warehouse Management, Product Service Tracking & Handling, Trans-Loading Services which include interrelated Staging Storing and Shipping, as well as sophisticated 3PL services that are customary of its clients including specialized medical suppliers.
In certain cases the construction and design of captive facilities is also performed in house. This includes a captive owned sports facility, pulp & paper manufacturing facility and trans-loading chemical operation.
